Biography
b. 1941 Bandung, Indonesia (Dutch). Lives in Amsterdam. Studied percussion with Frans van der Kraan and music theory at Royal Conservatory
of The Hague. Also studied composition with Kees van Baaren and electronics with Dick Raaymakers. Teaches composition at Royal Conservatory of The Hague. Board member of CEM and Gaudeamus Foundation. Recipient of numerous prizes and commissions, in the Netherlands and internationally. Music is performed, recorded and broadcast worldwide. Output includes electronic music; works with and without electronics for orchestra, chorus, chamber ensembles and solo instruments; music for dance.
