John McLeod
Biography
b. 1934, Aberdeen. Studied with Lennox Berkeley
at the Royal Academy of Music. Winner of Guinness Prize for composition. Appointments have included Associate Composer to Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Ida Carroll Research Fellow at the Royal Northern College of Music and Head of Composing for Film and Television at the London College of Music. Works are recorded on various labels, and are broadcast and regularly performed at international festivals. Extensive output includes orchestral, choral and church music, chamber and instrumental works (including many for solo piano), music for voice, and scores for film and television.
