Eric Moe
Biography
b. 1954 Durham, North Carolina. Studied at University of California, Berkeley, and Princeton University. Principal composition teachers include Andrew Imbrie, Milton Babbitt and Paul Lansky. Professor of Composition and Theory at University of Pittsburgh, where he directs new music concert series 'Music on the Edge'. Active also as pianist. Winner of numerous prizes and awards, including Lakond Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and a Guggenheim Fellowship. His output, recorded on various labels, includes music (with and without electronics) for orchestra, chorus, chamber ensembles, solo instruments and voice, as well as electroacoustic and multimedia works.
