Ronald Smith
Biography
Ronald Smith was Chief Executive of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music from 1983-1993. In 1981 he was President of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM) and in 1982 became Vice-President of the International Society for Music Education and later Secretary General. Prior to that he had been a teacher, director of music, music inspector and county music adviser as well as being an examiner and lecturer. A former organ scholar of the Royal Academy of Music, he is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music, a Fellow of Trinity College of Music and an Honorary Member of the Royal College of Music.
