Anthony Williams
Biography
Anthony Williams, M.Mus, Dip.RAM GRSM LRAM, was born in Essex and studied at the Royal Academy of Music with Alexander Kelly. He then began an active performing and teaching career in the UK and abroad, giving radio broadcasts and achieving notable competition success and combining this with fellowship teaching at the RAM as well as teaching at Reading University, various schools and privately.
He is currently Head of Keyboard and Assistant Director of Music at Radley College, part of his responsibilities being to lead a team of seven other piano teachers and encourage the progress of over 100 piano students. He combines this with private teaching at all levels and regular recital and ensemble work.
Anthony is an Associated Board examiner, a mentor on the
CT ABRSM course and a regular presenter of teacher workshops and seminars. He has given piano masterclasses around the country and is much in demand as a festival adjudicator.
