Spectrum for Clarinet Launch

Spectrum for Clarinet was launched on 29th October at an event held by the Clarinet and Saxophone Society in Twickenham.

The event was introduced by Leslie East, Director of Publishing, and performances of many of the pieces from the album were given by the compiler of the volume and clarinettist, Ian Mitchell. Ian collaborated with many of the composers who wrote for this album to ensure mutual understanding of the Spectrum concept was maintained.
Thalia Myers, pianist and the developer of the Spectrum series, also performed with Ian on the day.

Students from the Royal College of Music Junior Department also took part in performing at the launch and many of the composers were also present to hear their works being played in public for the first time.

CASS members, as well as composers and performers were then invited to a drinks reception, accompanied by clarinet choir!
