Jeremy Price
Biography
Jeremy Price studied music at Birmingham Conservatoire and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama before embarking on a freelance career as a trombonist and Jazz Educator. As a performer, the jazz projects Jeremy has been involved in include the London Jazz Orchestra with Billy Cobham, the Guy Barker Big Band supporting Ron Carter and Jessye Norman, the Simon Purcell Octet and the David Murray UK Tour. Ongoing projects include Stan Sulzmann’s Big Band and the London Sinfonietta.
Jeremy is currently the Course Director of the new BMus (Hons) Jazz programme at Birmingham Conservatoire. As well as writing the syllabus for this degree course, he is the author of several Jazz Education books published by International Music Press and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. While the majority of his teaching is at Birmingham Conservatoire, Jeremy also teaches periodically for the Royal College of Music, Trinity College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music.
