This is a poor use of the DVD medium, and offered no insights that I couldn't have found in the free Diploma guide.
There was no example of a borderline fail performance (which is what most prospective candidates would be worrying about). There was no example of a good or bad viva. There was no example of good or bad programme notes. Very few instruments were represented. The staged interviews between past candidates and an examiner were simply embarrassing. Some of the advice was glaringly obvious: "How did you prepare for your diploma?" "I practised a lot."
All in all, a waste of money. I'm very disappointed.

As someone preparing for my performance diploma, this DVD is exactly what I needed. It covers all aspects of the diploma and the examples of performances are very helpful in showing me what was expected.

This was an informative dvd, but lacked a sufficient range of instruments to help all who are undertaking the diploma, no brass recordings of performances really doesnt help a brass player, also there were no real examples of the viva voce, but still as a general medium it was quite informative
