Diana Burrell
Biography
b. 1948 Norwich. Read music at Cambridge. Spent several years as a freelance viola player, as well as teaching, until a growing number of commissions in the 1980s led her to concentrate on composition.
Educational activity has included working with and writing for COMA (Contemporary Music-Making for Amateurs). Has composed opera and works for a broad variey of orchestral, choral and instrumental ensembles; also solo instruments and voice.
