Michael Zev Gordon
Biography
b. 1963 London. Studied composition at Cambridge with Robin Holloway and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Oliver Knussen; further studies in Italy with Franco Donatoni and in Holland with Louis Andriessen. Plays oboe and piano. Ida Caroll Fellow at Royal Northern College of Music 1993-4. Professional activity has included teaching composition at the Royal Northern College of Music and at Durham University. Presently Fellow in Composition at the University of Birmingham. Output includes works for chorus, chamber ensembles and solo instruments.
