Victoria Borisova-Ollas
Biography
b. 1969 Vladivostock, Russia. In 1992 moved to Sweden, where she now lives. Read composition, piano and music theory at Central Music School, Moscow, then studied composition at Tchaikovsky State Conservatory. Also studied at Malmö and Stockholm Colleges of Music for PhD in composition and at the Royal College of Music, London, as an exchange student. Her orchestral composition Wings of the Wind came second in the 1998 Masterprize competition. Output includes works for orchestra, chamber ensembles and solo instruments.
